Lynn Warren of Cosmedical Ltd

Lynn is Director of Cosmedical Ltd and an experienced practitioner of aesthetic services in Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire and the North East. She is the Aesthetic Practitioner and Co Director of The Retreat. She appreciates that while many of you will already be familiar with her through her work within the salon over the last 14 years through Cosmedical Ltd, others may like to know a bit more about her.

I qualified as a registered general nurse in 1984, working in general surgery and then cardiac care before moving to Leeds to train as a midwife where I practiced at the leading teaching hospitals of St James and Leeds General Infirmary before taking up a Sr’s post at Harrogate Trust Hospital.

Whilst I was at Harrogate I was ‘headhunted’ by one of my patients to work in medical sales and in 1997 I was again approached to work for Transform Medical Group as their Nurse Specialist (the largest independent cosmetic surgery group in Europe).

As my career progressed and the demands for aesthetic services expanded I followed my desire for further knowledge and expertise by undergoing professional development and training with the surgeons at Transform Medical Group and the leading manufacturers at the time: Collagen Corporation,  Allergan and Qmed . Training included all aspects of medical aesthetics:  Botox ® therapy, dermal fillers, chemical peels, acne therapies, medical grade skin care and laser treatments.

In the late 1990's the demand for non-surgical facial enhancement began to grow and it became evident to me that there was a very limited service within the community. I saw the need to bridge the gap between the surgeons’ domain and that of the beautician’s couch and felt it was possible to offer a more accessible, slightly less clinical service at more reasonable prices.  Thus, in 1998, I set up my mobile aesthetic business: Cosmedical Ltd.

Dermal Fillers

Juvederm Ultra, Juvederm Hydrate

Dermal fillers are a non-invasive treatment for smoother, more youthful skin. As we age, our skin loses its natural elasticity and the smooth complexion we took for granted as teenagers begins to fade. Unfortunately the way our skin ages is largely determined by our genetics, but the process can be accelerated by smoking, poor diet and sun exposure.

By injecting tiny amounts of non-animal based hyaluronic acid into the skin or lips, dermal filler treatments give you the opportunity to temporarily halt or even reverse the ageing process by restoring volume and elasticity where you need it most. After one short treatment, the skin’s surface is ‘plumped up’, the appearance of lines and wrinkles are diminished and there is a marked improvement in suppleness. Safe and long lasting, dermal fillers provide a youthful lift to your appearance and an invaluable boost to your confidence.

Juvéderm® restores lost volume to cheeks and chin for a gentle lifting effect.

One of the products in the range of 5 dermal fillers, called Juvéderm® VOLUMA® with Lidocaine, replenishes lost skin volume to regain a youthful curve to the cheeks and can be used to enhance the overall shape of your face. Juvéderm® VOLUMA® with Lidocaine is an injectable hyaluronic acid volumiser that adds fullness to areas that need a little more support or enhancement. Shortly after treatment with Juvéderm® VOLUMA® with Lidocaine, you should notice that your facial contours appear fuller and rounder, giving your face a softer, more youthful appearance.  The results are instant, natural looking, plus there is no down time - most people resume normal activities immediately.

The lifting effects of Juvéderm® VOLUMA® with Lidocaine lasts up to 18 months

Botox

With real, noticeable results

No surgery and no recovery time, there are many reasons why Botox has been chosen by millions of men and women to improve their appearance.

Botox is one of the most widely known and popular non-surgical treatments for reducing fine lines and wrinkles caused by smiling, laughing and frowning by preventing the muscle contractions that cause furrows and lines when the face is making expressions.

The treatment is safe and virtually painless and results are visible within three to seven days, lasting for four to six months.

Sclerotherapy

Leg Vein Treatment

Sclerotherapy is a medically- proven injection technique which has been used for over 30 years. Using micro-needles a small amount of a salt solution is injected into the vein to dissolve it over a period of time. A course of treatments is usually required.

Information on Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy is a safe and well  established treatment for thread veins on the legs. Although there are a number of alternative treatments, it remains the most reliably successful of them all.

A solution is injected with a very tiny needle, very superficially into the veins, causing the lining of the vein to swell and become sticky. Compression is then applied to help close the veins.
